Fat???
Whenever I need an ego boost, I check out Hollywood. Yes, they make more money than me and yes that are better looking, but they are dumber than the average American. I think it's why People Mag sells so well. Ask almost any executive at any MNC in China, and probably many in the US, and they can tell you what the latest is on Britney, George Clooney or Angelina Jolie. I found this quite shocking, but my theory is that for those competitive types, it's good to know that there's someone on the other end of the bell curve to make him feel sharp even on bad days.
One of the latest brouhahas in Hollywood is the Jennifer Love-Hewitt Hawaiian photos. This would be just another case of "caught off camera", similar to pictures of Pamela Anderson without make up or Ben Affleck picking his nose. But the story took off and I've been drawn to the discussion surrounding the pictures.
Miss Love-Hewitt's response to these photos is:
"I'm not upset for me, but for all of the girls out there that are struggling with their body image."The slightly slimmer picture of her above modeling Hanes or whatever is generally known to be airbrushed in a number of places. If her concern is truly for those less confident in their bodies than she is, why would she consent having her body airbrushed for a lingerie ad. Sounds a bit hypocritical. That 14 year old girl doesn't know that her thighs look like Parker House Rolls without the IT department.
I think you lose the right to complain once you allow your body to slide into the realm of computer animation.
