Heartwarming Story as Woman Leaves Children

Middle-aged woman becomes Wushu champion through hard work

According to Chongqing Evening News, 42-year-old Zou Fan is a Wushu (martial arts) fan, and she is also the only member in the family to practice Wushu regularly. She left her family and abandoned her properties to build her own Wushu training school in Jiangjin District, Chongqing.

Previously Zou had her own houses and car, and could get pensions amounting to several thousand yuan per month. She hadn’t bought clothes for 6 years, in order to save money to build her training school. Zou hopes her school can help popularize traditional Chinese Wushu among the people.

Zou not only won a national Wushu title, but also came out a champion in Hong Kong International Wushu Contest this year. She said she had never expected to win that event in Hong Kong.
This is set up as a triumph against the odds story - meant to be inspiring. But this bat left her family, sold everything and then didn't buy clothes for six years for this silliness.
