Elevators II

I have complained about the elevators in our buildings before. With good reason.

There are two sets of elevator banks. On the east side of our building, the doors to the elevator shafts don't line up with the floors. Rather than re-engineer the shafts or the floors, the architects, or the builders - who knows, just built a small step about 6 inches in height and 4 inches in length that you must navigate lest you fall flat on your face exiting the elevator.
