As I mentioned, I think the Tibetans are some of the prettiest people I've seen.

The City of Kathmandu

Earthquakes have dictated the building code which does not permit construction over seven stories.




There was a lot of activity in the streets while we where there. We arrived on a Wednesday afternoon. People appeared to be underemployed. The markets were bustling though.

The people were dressed in beautiful colors and were generally amenable to having their pictures taken.

The drive was beautiful - mountainous and lush with waterfalls every where.




The roads were washed out in many places and landslides slowed us down. We frequently encounted young men and children picking up rocks that were blocking the roadway.






The towns were full of color, neatly tucked into the mountains.
